Country Meadows Retirement Communities seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight and lead the nursing team on our PA campus. You will work closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure high‑quality resident care in a homelike setting and support staff development.

The role offers a full‑time dayshift, a starting salary of $81,120+ based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to reward dedication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of employment.
• 2–4 years of clinical nursing experience in assisted living, personal care, or long‑term care.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (e.g., PointClickCare) and basic computer systems.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight and support resident health and safety.
• Lead head‑to‑toe assessments for new and returning residents.
• Coordinate ongoing resident assessments with wellness team.
• Monitor quality of care delivery and ensure consistency in clinical practices.
• Complete and review DHS‑required assessments for assigned residents.
• Maintain open communication with residents, families, physicians, and care teams.

We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who brings strong clinical skills, a hands‑on leadership style, and a commitment to both resident well‑being and team support. In this role, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing and campus leadership to provide day‑to‑day clinical oversight, support staff development, and help ensure consistent, high‑quality care in a setting where relationships matter and leadership is present.

Opportunity Details:

• Full time dayshift
• To support continuous resident care and campus operations, this role includes: a rotating schedule of every 6th weekend, every 6th holiday, one 12pm-8pm shift per month, and flexibility to meet On Call campus needs.

ADON Responsibilities:

• Clinical Operations & Resident Care
• Provide direct nursing services as needed to support resident health and safety
• Conduct and review head‑to‑toe assessments for new and returning residents
• Participate in wellness team meetings and coordinate ongoing resident assessments
• Monitor quality of care delivery and ensure consistency in clinical practices
• Complete and review DHS-required assessments for assigned residents
• Ensure care and support plans are communicated and followed by care teams
• Maintain open communication with residents, families, physicians, and care teams
• Support resident wellness through ongoing evaluation and coordination of care
• Leadership, Team Support & Development
• Provide hands‑on supervision of personal care staff and support nursing team oversight
• Assist in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of care staff
• Participate in coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
• Support staffing coordination in collaboration with the Director of Nursing
• Foster a positive, team‑oriented environment focused on collaboration and accountability
• Clinical Compliance, Safety & Documentation
• Support compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with infection control practices, tracking, and reporting
• Ensure medication associate training and monitoring meets required standards
• Monitor for safety concerns, including potential abuse or neglect, and respond appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation and serve as a PointClickCare resource for staff
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration & Resident Experience
• Collaborate with dining, life enrichment, therapy, and chaplain services to support resident well‑being
• Provide social, emotional, and supportive care to residents and families
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to enhance resident experience and outcomes

ADON Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the state of employment
• 2–4 years of clinical nursing experience in assisted living, personal care, or long‑term care
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred
