Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities seeks an Activities Assistant Part-Time to create engaging experiences for residents and encourage participation in arts and wellness. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong communication and an energetic, positive leadership style.

Shift is part-time 9:00am–4:00pm with every other weekend and holiday off; pay starts at $17.50–$18.50 per hour, with bonuses and benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plan, PTO, and more.

As the Activities Assistant Part-Time, you will create experiences with all members of our community and encourage residents to participate. We are seeking individuals who value the company of older adults, lead with a big picture mentality and appreciate the arts and wellness.

• Part-time 9:00am to 4:00pm, with every other weekend and every other holiday OFF
  • Week one: Work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (12:30pm-7:00), Saturday
  • Week two: Work Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Activities Assistant Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in group socialization or recreational programs preferred but not required.
• Leadership style that is energetic, personable, positive, enthusiastic, creative and imaginative.
• Ability to communicate intentions and directions to residents and co-workers. Be an active listener/empathetic.
• Strong motivational skills to positively influence resident participation.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
