Spectrum Retirement Communities in Ohio is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to support engaging programs and enhance residents' quality of life within the community.

Your role includes developing calendars, coordinating performers, and assisting residents with activities, transportation, and participation in events. The position emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork within a caring environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid drivers license, clean MVR, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Clear and effective communication with residents, family members, and team members.
• Self-motivated, organized, professional; able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong customer service skills are required.

Job Description

Schedule: Part Time, 24 hours, various hours between 9am-7pm, every 3rd weekend required.

This position ensures the resident’s well-being and satisfaction both in services and physical environment by assisting with developing and implementing programs that enhance the quality and enjoyment of life for our residents within the community.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the development, planning, implementation, the execution of the activities for residents.
• Assisting in the development of the monthly calendar, procuring performers, providing seminars, and maintaining the resident library.
• Driving residents to events, assisting residents to enter and exit the community vehicle.

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you will; need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean motor vehicle records, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with residents, family members, and other team members.
• Must be self-motivated, organized, and professional. Must be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
