Job summary

Chesapeake Treatment Center in Parkville, MD, is seeking a full-time Expressive Therapist to support adolescent and young adult males through creative expression and therapy. You will collaborate with the Department of Juvenile Justice and unit staff, provide crisis intervention, and contribute to culturally sensitive care.

Chesapeake Treatment Center, a 29-bed residential treatment center for adolescent and young adult males located in Parkville, MD (near Towson) has an immediate opening for a full time Expressive Therapist. The primary goal of the program is to support each youth with changing unhealthy thinking and poor decision making to more adaptive and pro-social behaviors.

Responsibilities

The overall responsibilities of the Activities Coordinator is to utilize various creative art forms like music, dance, art, drama, and writing as therapeutic tools to help clients explore and express their emotions, facilitating healing and personal growth by providing a safe space to process complex feelings through creative expression.
