Job summary

Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based health care, is seeking a PRN Activities Coordinator in Riverton, Utah. You will plan and conduct group and individual recreational activities for adults with developmental disabilities, tailoring programs to each person’s needs and interests.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, provide guidance to staff, ensure safety, and maintain curriculum binders to support varied, age-appropriate activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• TRS Certification required.
• Two years’ experience with developmentally disabled adults.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• All state-required training completed in mandated timeframes.
• Reliable, responsible and caring with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group and individual recreational activities according to individual needs and interests.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful activities.
• Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff on activity delivery methods and techniques.
• Determine and implement necessary precautions for care and safety of individuals served.
• Maintain curriculum binders to ensure varied, age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

PRN Activities Coordinator - Riverton, UT

• $20-$22 per hour
• Adult and pediatric neuro SNF
• PRN position; coverage based
• CTRS or TRT certification required

As Activities Coordinator, you will conduct group and individual recreational activities according to an individual’s needs, capabilities, and interests.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities with focus on emphasizing the preferences of individuals served.
• Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques as well as at staff meetings.
• Determine and implement necessary precautions in exercising responsibility for the care and safety of individuals served.
• Maintain curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age-appropriate activities are planned and conducted for all individuals served.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree required;
• TRS Certification required
• Two years’ experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• All state-required training and certification completed in mandated timeframes
• Reliable, responsible, and caring nature
• Strong organizational and communication skills
