Job summary

Solera Senior Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Coordinator for weekend shifts to plan and execute engaging programs for residents. The role combines activities planning with transportation duties, including driving residents to events using a Tesla/15-passenger bus; CDL not required.

The position emphasizes collaboration with the Life Enrichment Director and care team to enhance wellbeing and community life in a warm, hospitable setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in senior living, activities, recreation, hospitality, or related field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in changing situations.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MD/VA driving record; driving residents to events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement activities that meet residents' diverse needs and interests.
• Support resident satisfaction and retention through engaging programming.
• Evaluate interests and needs of new residents and reassess periodically.
• Decorate common areas reflecting seasons, holidays, and events.
• Coordinate space, equipment, food, transportation, and staffing for activities and events.
• Ensure safety and adherence to policies during activities and outings.

This is a dual position that includes driving responsibilities. You’ll be cross-trained as a Activities Assistant and Transportation Driver, responsible for operating our Tesla and 15-passenger bus for personal transportation and community outings. (CDL not required.)

Position Summary

The Life Enrichment Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of resident programs and activities that promote physical, emotional, intellectual, spiritual, and social well-being. This role partners closely with the Life Enrichment Director and interdisciplinary team to create a vibrant, engaging community experience.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Programs & Engagement

• Plan, coordinate, and implement activities that meet the diverse needs and interests of residents
• Support resident satisfaction and retention through engaging, timely, and meaningful programming
• Evaluate interests, abilities, and needs of new residents and reassess periodically
• Decorate common areas to reflect seasons, holidays, and special events

Event Coordination & Operations

• Coordinate space, equipment, food, transportation, and staffing for activities and events
• Ensure activities and outings are conducted safely and in accordance with policies
• Assist with driving residents to outings and events as needed
• Support marketing events, open houses, and community celebrations
• Responsible for operating our Tesla and 15-passenger bus for personal transportation and community outings.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work collaboratively with department leaders, residents, families, and community partners
• Serve as a liaison between residents and leadership as appropriate
• Maintain a positive, professional presence and represent the community with warmth and hospitality

Administrative & Budget Support

• Maintain calendars, flyers, and activity documentation
• Work within department budget and assist with budget planning as needed
• Participate in on-site training and ongoing professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1+ year of experience in senior living, activities, recreation, hospitality, or a related field preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to remain calm and solution-focused in changing situations
• Comfortable using basic computer tools (email, calendars, flyers, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record, this is a dual position that includes driving responsibilities
