Job summary

Immanuel Pathways PACE is seeking an Activities Coordinator to work at Pathways Omaha, 5755 Sorensen Parkway, Omaha, NE 68152, with hours Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. You will implement recreational therapy programs to help participants with diverse physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs under a Certified Recreational Therapist.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, active CNA certificate (or within six months), two years of related experience with frail or elderly

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent.
• Active CNA certificate required or must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Two years’ experience in a social or recreational program for frail or elderly population.
• One year of full-time experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Implements recreational therapy programs and activities to improve functioning of participants with diverse needs under clinical supervision.
• Coordinate and facilitate activities that support physical, cognitive, social and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality activity services for residents.

Hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required

What You Will Do

Implements recreational therapy programs and activities to improve the functioning of participants who have a wide variety of physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs under the clinical supervision of a Certified Recreational Therapist.

Skills & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED/equivalent required.
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certificate required or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreational program providing services for a frail or elderly population required.
• One (1) year of full-time experience in a patient activities program and in a health care setting required.
• One (1) year of experience working with the frail or elderly population required, or completion of job specific training related to working with the elderly population must be completed within the first six months of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have reliable means of transportation.
