Job summary

New Communities, Inc. is hiring an Activities Coordinator for Pinewood Terrace, a 32-bed Assisted Living facility. You will coordinate wellness programs, develop resident goals, and encourage participation in scheduled activities to enrich residents' lives.

The position is an hourly direct-care role on a day shift (Mon–Fri with occasional weekend) with pay ranging from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Strong communication and compassion are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Active driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Activities Coordinator Certificate and 40-hour CRMA preferred.
• Three years of experience with disabled/elderly population preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents participate in scheduled wellness programs.
• Active participation in resident assessment and goal development.
• Maintain a balance of activities that enrich physical, emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual, and vocational aspects of residents.

Activities Coordinator Responsibilities
