Caseload and Productivity Requirements: The Activities Coordinator position does not include primary responsibility for a client caseload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ability to develop, plan and coordinate activities for residential client group.
- Supervises all client activities and events.
- Supervises and monitors client activities.
- Plans, organizes and implements one or more concurrent recreational, educational or cultural activities of a specialized nature.
- Develops and maintains budget for activities operation.
- Compiles statistics and prepares operating reports.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Assists in carrying out special events and activities.
- Transports clients to recreational/educational/cultural activities.
- Oversees the use of all equipment and inventory items used in programs.
- Assists in planning of special events.
- Performs related work as required.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- You must have a valid Ohio's driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to motivate clients.
- Transportation and supervision of clients.
- Managing activities for residents.
- Develop links with community agencies and external resources.
- Develop short- and long-term plans for activities.
- Ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Takes initiative in completing tasks and assisting staff as needed.
- Ability to be assertive and consistent in dealings with clients.
- Ability to cope effectively with crisis situations.
- Experience in planning and executing activities for adults.
- Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of crisis intervention and conflict management.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices used in organizing and activities.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations governing various athletic games.
- Ability to lead, plan and coordinate various recreational activities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with C.A.T.S. staff and the general public.
- Ability to operate a PC in a networked environment.
Credentials / Academic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least two (2) year experience working cooperatively with others in a human service setting.
