Job summary

Heritage Village of Waterville seeks an Activities Assistant to create engaging recreation, arts and crafts, and conversation for residents. You will provide opportunities aligned with residents' hobbies, exploring new experiences and expression through creativity.

Two weekly shift options (9-5 or 12-8, plus 10-3) with every other weekend rotation. Starting pay is $13/hour. Join a compassionate team delivering quality care in a Certus Healthcare community.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in an activity related or customer service focused position.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead groups.
• Compassionate approach to patient care and engagement.
• A degree or education in Recreation, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching, or Arts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily activities as listed on our community calendar.
• Interact with residents to encourage engagement in ongoing activities.
• Assist the Activities Director in preparing and leading activities.
• Assist with documentation of participation in offered activities.

Summary

We are seeking someone who is looking for an opportunity to impact the lives of those living at Heritage Village of Watervillethrough recreation, arts and crafts, conversation, and interaction. In this role, you will provide opportunities to our residents focused on current and past hobbies, opportunities to explore new experiences and enjoy focused activities on expression and movement through creativity!

This position has a starting pay rate of $13 an hour

The schedule options for this are two-week cycles working either 9am-5pm 2 days per week OR 12pm-8pm 3 days per week OR 10am-3pm 2 days per week. The standard schedule for this position includes every other weekend rotation as well as the potential to have to work some later shifts depending on scheduled activities and events within the community. Specific schedules available will be discussed during interview.
