Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to create engaging programs that enhance residents' physical, emotional, social, and mental well-being. Working with the Activities Director, you will design and run meaningful activities that encourage participation and socialization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a long-term care, healthcare, senior living, recreation, or activities setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and conducting individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
• Encourage resident participation in activities, hobbies, crafts, games, and special events.
• Assist with resident outings and special programs.
• Help develop and maintain monthly activity calendars and attendance records.
• Support the development and implementation of activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Assist with assessment documentation and quarterly progress notes as assigned.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care team meetings as needed.
• Arrange or assist with resident transportation for activities, appointments, and outings when necessary.
• Provide in-room activities for residents who are bed-bound or unable to attend group programs.
• Maintain positive communication with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Help keep the Activities Department clean, organized, and secure.
• Support facility quality improvement initiatives as requested by the Activities Director.
