Job summary

Cherrydale Post Acute in Greenville, SC is hiring an Activities Assistant to bring engagement and meaningful experiences to residents. You will support the Activities Director in planning programs that promote physical, emotional, social, and psychosocial well-being, and help implement monthly calendars with diverse activities.

The role emphasizes compassionate service, teamwork, and effective communication with residents and families, with opportunities for growth within the facility's

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in long-term care, healthcare, recreation, or activities setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in planning and conducting individual, small-group, and large-group activities.
• Encourage resident participation in games, crafts, music, exercise, social events, and community outings.
• Help create a stimulating and engaging environment that promotes quality of life.
• Assist with the development and implementation of monthly activity calendars.
• Maintain activity attendance records and documentation.
• Support resident assessments and activity care plans.
• Provide one-on-one and in-room activities for residents who are unable to attend group events.
• Assist with special events, holiday celebrations, and family activities.
• Transport or escort residents to activities as needed.
• Communicate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
