Job summary

Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking an On-Call Activity Assistant to support residents through engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities. You will help plan, lead, and accompany residents to programs, fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

In this on-call role, you’ll collaborate with a compassionate team, adapt to residents’ mobility and cognitive needs, and assist with events, documentation, and supplies to ensure smooth program operations and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with seniors, healthcare, recreation, or activity programs is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, energetic and enthusiastic.
• Ability to work with residents with varying mobility and cognitive function.
• Reliable and flexible on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational, social, educational, and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement in scheduled programs.
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Assist with holiday celebrations, special events, and community outings.
• Maintain activity supplies and equipment.
• Document resident attendance and participation.
• Create a positive, welcoming, inclusive environment for all residents.
• Provide friendly, compassionate interaction while supporting individual interests and needs.

• Pay Rate: $17.00-$18.75 per hour
