Job summary

Waterhouse Ridge Memory Care in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to support our residents and lead engaging life enrichment activities in a person‑centered care environment.

This part-time role (Monday and Tuesday) offers competitive wages, training on hire, and opportunities to grow. Requirements include a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to speak, read, and write English.

Qualifications

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for word processing.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director in coordinating and conducting resident activities.
• Provide activity programming to enhance residents' lives and align with person-centered care.
• Evaluate residents’ needs and tailor activities to their preferences.
• Help create the monthly activity calendar and newsletter.
• May drive the community van for outings.
• Ensure residents’ privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follow infection control procedures and complete required trainings.
• Complete state-required training upon hire and annually.

Responsibilities of the Life Enrichment Assistant

• Assist the Life Enrichment Director in coordinating and conducting resident activities.
• Provide residents with activity programming in a manner to enhance their lives and promote our person-centered care philosophy.
• Ensure that each resident’s needs, limitations, and preferences are evaluated and provide residents with corresponding activity programming in a manner that supports our holistic approach to wellness.
• Assist in creating the monthly activity calendar and newsletter as needed.
• May be required to drive the community van for outings.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for word processing.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.

Job Type

• Part Time - Monday and Tuesday schedule.
