Job summary

Shadow Mountain Memory Care in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to support our residents through engaging, person-centered activities and programming.

The role supports the Life Enrichment Director in coordinating activities, creating calendars, and ensuring residents’ needs are addressed with dignity and privacy. Some driving for outings may be required, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director in coordinating and conducting resident activities.
• Provide activity programming to enhance residents' lives and support person-centered care.
• Evaluate residents' needs, limitations, and preferences to tailor programming.
• Assist in creating the monthly activity calendar and newsletter as needed.
• May be required to drive the community van for outings.
• Ensure residents' privacy, respect, and dignity at all times.
• Follow standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Complete state-required training upon hire and annually.

Responsibilities of the Life Enrichment Assistant

• Assist the Life Enrichment Director in coordinating and conducting resident activities.
• Provide residents with activity programming in a manner to enhance their lives and promote our person-centered care philosophy.
• Ensure that each resident’s needs, limitations, and preferences are evaluated and provide residents with corresponding activity programming in a manner that supports our holistic approach to wellness.
• Assist in creating the monthly activity calendar and newsletter as needed.
• May be required to drive the community van for outings.
• Ensure residents are provided privacy, respect, and dignity.
• Follows standard precautions and infection control procedures.
• Completes state required training upon hire and annually.

Required Experience

• Possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills for word processing.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the English language.

Job Type

• Full Time — Sunday through Thursday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
