The Phoenix at Union Hill is seeking an Assistant Program and Outreach Director (Activities Assistant) to join their team!

Position Type: Full Time

Summary

The Assistant Program and Outreach Director is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day delivery of resident-centered activities that promote and integrate the Phoenix Senior Living philosophy, emphasizing wellness in all aspects of the seniors’ lives. This includes addressing emotional, purpose, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual dimensions.

Responsibilities

  • Refer to the Resident Profile and addendum for every new resident.
  • Assist in facilitating a variety of personalized activities that incorporate wellness across all dimensions, available throughout the day and evening with resident care associate participation.
  • Recognize changes in residents' conditions and take appropriate action.
  • Assist residents to and from activity rooms as needed.
  • In memory care, assist residents with Life Skills and other life-enriching activities, ensuring engagement.
  • Review and document pertinent information and any physical or behavioral changes in communication logs.
  • Maintain activity areas in an orderly manner.
  • Assist with the delegation and record-keeping of care for any animals or plants involved in activities.
  • Help maintain inventories of activity supplies, games, programs, and crafts.

Education/Experience/Licensure - Certification

  • High School Diploma required; experience in a senior living community preferred.
  • Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and staff for social events and activities.
  • Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care preferred.
