Job summary

Pleasant View Communities is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to support a resident-centered team at our Manheim, PA location. The role focuses on implementing recreational programs, monitoring resident participation, and preparing spaces for activities within a secured dementia unit.

The ideal candidate shows genuine desire to work with seniors, strong interpersonal skills, and, if possible, dementia care experience.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with the senior population
• Strong interpersonal skills with awareness for dignity, respect, compassion and safety
• Dementia care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of recreational program.
• Monitor resident needs, preferences, and attendance in activities.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• This position will be working on a secured dementia unit. Experience working with Dementia preferred.
• This position is part of a three person activity staff team.

Shift Availability for Activities Assistant:

• Full-Time
• Weekdays 9am-5:30pm
• Every other weekend 9am-5:30pm
• Every other holiday 9am-4pm

Responsibilities of Activities Assistant:

• Implementation of recreational program.
• Monitor resident needs, preferences, and attendance in activities.
• Assist in preparing activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• This position will be working on a secured dementia unit. Experience working with Dementia preferred.
