Job summary

Senior Community Care of North Carolina PACE in Durham, NC is seeking an Activities Assistant - Full Time to support residents with daily living activities and meaningful engagement in a healthcare setting.

You will provide direct care, coordinate activities, monitor resident well-being, and work with a compassionate team. A high school diploma and at least one year of experience with the elderly are preferred; schedule is M-F, 9a-4p, with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience working with the elderly population; one year’s experience in activities programming for the elderly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Support residents’ physical and emotional well-being by building meaningful connections and delivering compassionate, person-centered care.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while following all care plans, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

What You Bring (Requirements)
