Job summary

Peters Township Post Acute is a 140-bed facility focused on compassionate care and enrichment for residents. The Activities Assistant supports the Activity Director in planning engaging programs and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers and employees.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents, their families, support personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendar and maintaining attendance records.
• Assist with discharge planning and resident assessments.
• Arrange transportation for residents when necessary.
• Support activity schedules for outings and in-room activities.
