The Arbor Terrace Senior Living Greenbelt is seeking an Activities Assistant (Resident Engagement) to create an engaging lifestyle that keeps residents active, connected, and fulfilled. What You’ll Do

As an Activities Assistant, you’ll help create an engaging lifestyle that encourages residents to stay active, connected, and fulfilled.

Responsibilities include:

• Plan and lead group activities, games, crafts, music, fitness, and social events
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families
• Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment
• Support Arbor’s award-winning engagement programming designed to promote physical, emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, and purposeful wellness
• Assist with decorating for holidays, themed events, and community celebrations
• Escort and transport residents to outings and appointments as needed
• Work closely with the Engagement Director and other departments to create exceptional resident experiences
• Every day brings something new, making this the perfect role for someone who enjoys creativity, variety, and connecting with others.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dependable, and passionate about enriching the lives of older adults.

Experience in any of the following is helpful:

• Activities or recreation programs
• Senior living or healthcare
• Childcare or education
• Hospitality or event planning
• Customer service
• Volunteer or community programs

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, energetic, and compassionate attitude
• Ability to lead group activities and encourage participation
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and remain active throughout the day
• Experience working with seniors is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who shares our passion for creating meaningful moments.
