Quail Park of Lynnwood in Lynnwood, WA is hiring an Activity Assistant | Driver to engage residents through planned events and social activities.

As part of the Life Engagement team, you will coordinate activities, assist with concierge tasks, and help monitor residents’ social histories while modeling positive behavior. The role supports a vibrant, resident-centered living environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a senior living environment or social activity leadership
• CNA or prior elderly care experience preferred
• Health licensure requirements must be met
• CPR/First Aid credentials preferred
• Food Handlers credentials preferred
• Experience with seniors in a living environment preferred
• Proficiency in Word and Excel preferred
• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly
• Subject to pre-employment screening including physical and TB testing and criminal clearance

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing scheduled resident activities
• Assist with Concierge tasks
• Plan, coordinate and participate in social events, outings and on-site activities to address residents' social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs
• Model effective communication and behavior management for residents and staff
• Ensure all activities, outings, and events occur as scheduled
• Assist in recruiting, training, and scheduling volunteers for the activity program
• Support safety and quality of resident care and activities

As our Life Engagement Assistant, you will be instrumental in caring for our residents’ “whole person”: ensuring their social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs are considered. Our Life Engagement team plans a variety of events and activities to keep our residents stimulated and engaged, and as a member of this team you would plan, assist with, and coordinate these social events and activities. You will also help the wholeLiving Care team monitor and support residents by keeping up-to-date social history profiles and modeling behavior management strategies.
Position is Tuesday - Saturday

Activity Assistant | Driver Minimum Requirements

• 1 years’ experience working in senior living environment, and/or social activity leadership
• CNA, or previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting preferred
• Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure
• Current CPR/First Aid credentials preferred
• Current Food Handlers credentials preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors in a senior living environment preferred
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel preferred
• Ability to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, guests and other team members
• Subject to pre-employment screening including physicaland TB testing and criminal clearance

Activity Assistant | Driver Essential Functions

• Assists in the implementation of scheduled resident activities.
• Assists with Concierge tasks
• Assists, plans, coordinates and participates in a variety of social events, outings, and on-site activities, to address resident social, emotional, mental, and spiritual needs, and to ensure a positive and stimulating living environment
• Acts as a role model to community team members for communication and behavior management strategies, and in engaging residents in meaningful activity and social interaction
• Ensures that all resident activities, outings and events occur according to schedule.
• Assists in recruiting, training, and scheduling an adequate number of volunteers to support the community activity program
• Supports the team in ensuring that all resident care and activity is provided in a safe and effective manner, while consistently maintaining resident
