Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between staff, residents and families to meet resident needs.
• Assist in development of monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Support activity assessments and discharge planning as requested by the Activity Director.
• Arrange transportation for residents when necessary and assist with activity-related outings.
