Job summary

Heritage Place Care & Rehabilitation in Winchester, TN is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan, implement and evaluate recreational activities for residents, working closely with the Activities Director to promote socialization and well-being.

The role involves leading activities, building relationships with residents and families, and helping manage schedules, records, and feedback; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• 0 years of experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for resident privacy and dignity.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of activities and programs for residents.
• Lead activities and provide support to residents as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Assist with preparing and distributing activity schedules and flyers.
• Maintain accurate records and reports of activity participation and feedback.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to new activities and programs.
