Job summary

American Senior Communities, LLC in Fishers, IN is seeking an Activity Assistant - CNA to provide compassionate geriatric care on a full-time day shift. You will support resident wellness, lead activities, and collaborate with teammates to create a positive environment.

You will help onboard new staff, engage families and volunteers, and motivate residents to participate in health and wellness activities. CNA certification is preferred and may be pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred.
• CNA certification is preferred. Must be open to getting CNA certification within the first six (6) months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and compassion to residents and support daily activities.
• Act as a positive teammate and help onboard new teammates.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities to support physical, mental and emotional well-being.
• Motivate residents to take part in their own health and wellness.
• Coordinate activities considering residents' backgrounds and preferences.
• Assist in recruiting, training and recognizing volunteers to supplement the activity program.
• Involve resident families, the community and volunteers to boost participation.
