Job summary

Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC is seeking an Activities Assistant CNA to provide daily nursing care per the care plan and to support resident engagement.

You will lead activities, encourage participation, help develop care plans, coordinate with staff and families, maintain safe spaces, and participate in trainings. • High school diploma or equivalent is required or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with state laws.
• Demonstrated positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Flexible, patient, and able to adapt to residents’ needs.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed.
• Emotionally and mentally capable of handling stress and varying cognitive levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily nursing care per resident assessments and care plans.
• Assist in creating and implementing activities for residents.
• Encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, and events.
• Help develop care plans and assessments with supervisors.
• Involve residents and families in activity planning.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and supplies.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and in-service sessions.
• Assist with transportation and supervise activities.

What You'll Do

The Activities Assistant CNA will provide each assigned resident with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Responsibilities include:

Assist in creating and implementing activities

Encourage resident participation in hobbies, crafts, and events

Help develop care plans and assessments

Involve residents and families in activity planning

Maintain clean and safe work areas and supplies

Attend meetings, training, and in-service sessions

Assist with transportation and supervise activities

Collaborate with medical staff and external providers

Promote a positive, warm, and respectful environment

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
