Job summary

Marquis Companies is seeking an Activities Assistant to work closely with the Activities Director to plan and implement ongoing programming for residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility. You may also provide one-on-one activities to residents who need individualized attention.

The role requires experience in healthcare activities/recreational therapy, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Experience working in Activities / Recreational Therapy in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with the elderly population and strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute ongoing programming of Activities in our Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Conduct one-on-one activities with residents needing individualized attention.
• Document activities and participation; utilizes the electronic medical records system.

Simply put, as theActivities Assistantyou will be responsible for working side-by-side with our Activities Director to plan and execute on-going programming of Activities in our Skilled Nursing Facility. You may also conduct one-on-one activities with our residents that need more individualized attention. Documentation of activities and all participation is included in this position. This facility is currently using an electronic medical records system.
