Job summary

Wallick Communities in Meadow Valley Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and coordinate engaging programs for residents, support wellbeing, and encourage participation.

This full-time role requires organizational skills, good communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, employee ownership, and opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Plan activities, exercise programs, events and outings for all residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and medical file information.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in activities.
• Reports information to Activities Director or charge nurse of any problems with residents, family, or staff.
• Perform administrative requirements and submit to Activities Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

• Plan activities, exercise programs, events and outing for all residents.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all personnel and medical file information.
• Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
• Reports information to Activities Director or charge nurse of any problems with difficult or disturbed residents, family, care givers, or staff.
• Perform administrative requirements and submit to Activities Director.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED desirable.
• Previous experience working at an Assisted Living community a plus.
• Must be organized and self-motivated.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents and family members.
• Must be proficient using Microsoft Office.
• Make routine decisions requiring minimal judgment.
• You must also have and maintain a Valid Driver’s License
