Wallick Senior Living in Traverse City, MI seeks an Assistant Director of Care, LPN, to lead on the floor, supervise clinical staff, and ensure quality of care across shifts. Starting pay is $75,000 with full-time benefits and the opportunity to grow within an employee-owned organization focused on residents' independence and well-being.

This role requires strong nursing credentials, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with the Director to implement corrective actions and care

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supervising nursing staff in an assisted living facility is preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to make complex, high-stakes decisions with good judgment.
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to adapt to evolving care needs.
• Knowledge of assisted living regulations and guidelines.
• Valid Nursing License required; Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Responsabilités

• Will work the floor at times and will oversee the med cart.
• Manage clinical staff to ensure state standards of quality of care are adhered to.
• Responsible for ensuring all shifts are adequately staffed.
• Assists with day-to-day functions within the nursing department.
• Collaborate with the Director to identify and resolve departmental deficiencies with implemented correction plans.
• Identify and address any quality-assurance auditing issues.
• Trains clinical staff.
• Assists with care plans and assessments and sits in on care conferences.
• This position will be on an on-call rotation with Director of Care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Great customer service skills.
• Previous nursing experience in an Assisted Living Facility a plus. Previous supervisory skills desired
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents, family members and business partners. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
• Ability to make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment.
• Decisions affect the overall operation of the facility. Must be flexible, compassionate, and dependable.
• Must be knowledgeable of assisted living regulations and guidelines.
• Valid Nursing License
• Valid Driver’s License
