Beacon House Senior Living, a Certus Healthcare community in St. Clairsville, Ohio, seeks an Activities Assistant to bring recreation, arts and crafts, conversation, and resident interaction to daily life.

You will build engaging programs based on residents' hobbies, help lead activities with the Activities Director, and document participation. This compassionate role offers part-time and full-time options with a friendly, patient-centered team.

• Prior experience in activity-related or customer service roles.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience leading a group.
• Degree or education in Recreation or related fields is a plus.

Summary

We are seeking someone who is looking for an opportunity to impact the lives of those living at Beacon House Senior Living through recreation, arts and crafts, conversation, and interaction. In this role, you will provide opportunities to our residents focused on current and past hobbies, opportunities to explore new experiences and enjoy focused activities on expression and movement through creativity!

This position has a starting pay rate of $13.25 an hour

The typical schedule for this opportunity is Full Time including Two (2) 8-hour shifts a week. The standard schedule for this position includes an every other weekend rotation as well as the potential to have to work some later shifts depending on scheduled activities and events within the community. Specific schedules available week 1-Sunday Saturday week 2- Sunday Wednesday

In addition to our current full-time opportunity, we also have flexible employment options available including Part Time and a great Weekend Warrior program!

Requirements

• Prior experience in an activity related or customer service focused position
• Strong skills in communication
• Experience with leading a group of people
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• A Degree or education in Recreation, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching, or Arts is a plus!
