• Experience in an activity related or customer service focused position.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage residents.
• Experience leading groups of people is preferred.
• A degree in recreation, therapy, teaching or arts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily activities as listed on the community calendar.
• Interact with residents to encourage engagement in ongoing activities.
• Assist the Activities Director in preparing and leading activities.
• Document participation in offered activities.

Summary

We are seeking someone who is looking for an opportunity to impact the lives of those living at Aristocrat Berea Healthcare & Rehabilitation through recreation, arts and crafts, conversation, and interaction. In this role, you will provide opportunities to our residents focused on current and past hobbies, opportunities to explore new experiences and enjoy focused activities on expression and movement through creativity!

This position has a starting pay rate of $13.25 an hour

The typical schedule for this opportunity is Full Time including five(5) 8-hour shifts a week. The standard schedule for this position includes an every other weekend rotation as well as the potential to have to work some later shifts depending on scheduled activities and events within the community. Specific schedules available will be discussed during interview.

In addition to our current full-time opportunity, we also have flexible employment options available including Part Time and a great Weekend Warrior program!

Requirements

• Prior experience in an activity related or customer service focused position
• Strong skills in communication
• Experience with leading a group of people
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
• A Degree or education in Recreation, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teaching, or Arts is a plus!
