Job summary

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich, MA is seeking a fun and creative Activities Assistant to support our recreation team in delivering engaging daily programming for residents.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and guiding arts and crafts, performances, and group activities; building relationships with residents to tailor activities to interests; and documenting progress with the care team.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• We can train the right candidate!
• Ability to coordinate events and engage residents in activities.

• Organize group and individual programming.
• Generate ideas to excite residents and encourage participation.
• Encourage residents to participate to stimulate physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings.
• Report all reportable events immediately.

Cape Heritage Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Sandwich is hiring a fun and creative Activities Assistant to join our recreation team!

40 hours per week. including an every-other-weekend rotation. Weekly pay at $18 an hour!

As an Activities Assistant, you assist the department in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the daily events and programming for residents, including arts & crafts, performances, and other activities.

Experience & Education:

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Organize group and individual programming.

• Encourage residents to take part in activities that will stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

• Document and report any unusual or significant findings.
• Report all reportable events immediately.
