Northern Mahaska Specialty Care, a Care Initiatives community in Oskaloosa, IA, is hiring an Activities Assistant for a part-time schedule. Join our compassionate team and support residents through engaging activities that promote health and daily routine.

As part-time staff, you will assist the activity director, maintain activity resources, and help with documentation, while interacting closely with residents, families, and the care team to deliver meaningful, fun experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.

• Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.

• Assist the activity director with required record keeping.
• Interact and communicate with residents, families, as well as the healthcare team.
• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
