Job summary

Corydon Specialty Care in Corydon, IA, is hiring an Activities Assistant to support the activity director and deliver engaging programs for residents. This part-time role offers meaningful interactions, a flexible schedule, and the chance to make a difference in daily life at our 71-bed skilled nursing community.

You will prepare activities, keep records, coordinate with families and the care team, and help residents enjoy recreation and therapeutic activities.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• A strong commitment to helping others and consistently treating them with empathy, respect, patience, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident’s needs.
• Maintain the resources needed for each resident’s activity needs.
• Assist the activity director with required record keeping.

• Encourage and facilitate resident recreational and therapeutic activities to enhance health and daily routines.
