Blackstone Valley Health & Rehabilitation in Whitinsville, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will plan, organize, and lead daily activity programs for residents, encourage participation, and help coordinate events that promote social and cognitive well‑being.

Ideal candidates are creative, energetic, patient, and reliable with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience with seniors preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead daily activity programs for residents.
• Encourage resident participation in individual and group activities.
• Coordinate special events, holidays, outings, and entertainment.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with decorating for seasonal events.
• Document resident participation and communicate changes or concerns to the Activities Director.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from activities as needed.
• Support the Activities Director with department projects and special events.
• Perform other duties to support the Activities Department and facility needs.
