Job summary

The Plaza Assisted Living in Mililani Town, HI, is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to bring joy and connection to residents’ daily lives. This casual role requires no prior experience and includes on-the-job training.

You will design activities that support residents’ well-being, lead groups or individual sessions, and promote participation while respecting personal choices. Excellent English communication helps you succeed.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in meeting the needs of senior residents, including those with memory impairments.
• Flexibility, patience, and creativity in daily activities.
• Ability to organize, plan and work autonomously.
• Confident and energetic when leading and directing activities for diverse groups; strong English communication.

Shifts: Sundays 8am-4pm, Monday 8am-3:30pm, Wednesday 8am-3:30pm

Pay starts at $16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement programs designed to meet the interests, mental, physical, and emotional well-being of the residents
• Ability to teach, direct, and motivate residents into meaningful activities - comfortable leading activities in groups and one-on-one settings
• Promote resident participation and community involvement through volunteer services; create programs in a manner that is respectful of individual choices

Qualifications
