Job summary

Avista Senior Living Management seeks an enthusiastic Activity Assistant for The Summit at Sunland Springs in Mesa, AZ. This role supports resident-centered activities, maintains logs, and collaborates with staff to deliver engaging programs.

The position offers weekend availability (Friday–Monday) with hourly pay between $16 and $18. A 2-year degree or technical degree is preferred, and prior senior living experience is a plus.例

Qualifications

• 1 year job related experience preferred in senior living communities.
• Ability to lead activities and motivate volunteers and fellow team members for involvement in events.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal skills for effective communication and ability to facilitate small group presentations.
• Organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a balanced resident-centered activity program for the community.
• Reviews, reads, notates and initializes the Daily Log and Department Log to document resident information and activities.
• Demonstrates proficiency with QA processes and quality service standards related to activities and programming.
• Partners with the community team to ensure compliance with federal, state, local laws and quality standards for resident care and services.
• Actively participates as a member of a team and strives for team goals.

This position would be FULL or PART TIME and would require weekend availability to work Friday-Monday.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining a balanced resident centered activity program for the community
• Reviews, reads, notates and initializes the Daily Log and Department Log to document and learn about pertinent information and any resident's physical and behavioral changes as well as activities information
• Demonstrates proficiency and understands the QA (Quality Assurance Process) & essential quality service standards pertaining to enriching resident centered activities and programming; partners with community team in striving for excellent quality care & service delivery as measured in the QA process
• Partners with community team to ensure community follows all federal, state, local laws & regulations & quality standards for resident care and services
• Actively participates as a member of a team and committed to working toward team goals
