Job summary

Alliance Health at Marie Esther is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily recreation programs for residents. You will help plan and implement activities, coordinate with the Activity Director, and ensure resident participation and safety.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and a caring, patient approach. Part-time and per diem shifts are available, with benefits including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Individualized skills in crafts, music, education or physical activities are helpful.
• Friendly, outgoing personality, with a warm, caring and patient attitude.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and implementation of organized program for recreation.
• Provides a planned resident-specific, goal-directed recreation program for assigned residents/patients; facilitates small group activities as assigned by the director.
• Ensure that all charted recreation progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and indicate the residents/patient's response to the service. Assists in developing a written comprehensive plan of care for each resident/patient recreation program that identifies the problems/needs of the resident/patient and the goals to be accomplished for each problem/need. Follow the established plan of care in providing the daily recreation program.
• Involve the resident/patient and family members in the assessment and care planning process when possible.
• Transport residents/patients to and from recreation programs.
