Job summary

Vasona Creek Healthcare Center in Los Gatos, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will work with the Activities Director to design, plan, and run diverse wellness and recreation programs that support residents' physical and psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities include leading daily group and one-on-one activities, encouraging participation in games, music, arts and crafts, documenting attendance and progress, transporting residents, and keeping spaces safe

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Experience: Experience in senior care, skilled nursing, or memory care preferred.
• Traits: Excellent communication, patient demeanor, and a positive attitude.
• Physical ability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on your feet.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible schedules, including some weekends or holidays.

Position Overview
