Job summary

Broadway Manor Care Center in Los Angeles is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning, coordinating, conducting and implementing a therapeutic activity program that meets residents' needs.

You will assist with daily activities, participate in outside events, and help organize resident council meetings. A CNA certificate is required, and SNF experience is preferred; we seek a self-starting, engaging team player.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily activities to keep residents engaged and motivated.
• Assist in planning and participating in outside activities.
• Assist with monthly resident council meetings.
• Adapt recreation programs to meet residents' needs and capabilities.
• Direct and organize activities to help residents develop social relationships.

Activities Staff Requirements

• Applicants with an active C.N.A certificate required
• At least 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred

Primary Activities Staff Responsibilities

• You will assist in the daily Activities throughout the day for our patients, keeping them engaged and motivated on a daily basis
• An active role in planning and participating in outside activities
• Assists with monthly resident council meetings
• Adapts recreation programs and regulates content of programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents and the facility
• Directs and organizes activities to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in-group activities.
• Must be a Self-starter and self-motivated, with an entertaining and outgoing personality
• These qualities will carry over to our patients helping them to stay engaged and entertained

PAY SCALE: $19 - $21 / Hour

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
