Job summary

Evergreen Healthcare Group’s Livingston Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Activities Assistant who brings kindness to residents and strong listening and communication skills. You will plan engaging group activities, provide one-to-one visits, and coordinate with nursing staff to support safe transportation and daily routines.

The role requires compassion, reliable teamwork, and the ability to work weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Kind approach with elderly residents and strong listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Weekend availability may be required (DOE).

Responsibilities

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents one-to-one to provide friendly visits, sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and activities per each resident's Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel to assist in transporting residents to activities.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas.

Job Summary

Livingston Health and Rehabilitation Center is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills. If you are interested in making a difference in our residents lives and can work collaboratively with others, for our Activities Assistant position and be apart of the Evergreen Healthcare Group family.

Essential Functions

• Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.
• Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.
• Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:
• A friendly visitor.
• Sensory stimulation.
• Reality orientation.
• A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident's Activity Plan.
• Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.
• Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
