The Activities Assistant assists the Director of Activities with planning, organizing, developing, and directing quality activities for patients, ensuring that the recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social needs of each patient are met in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. They assist in providing an ongoing program to support patients in their choice of activities, based on the comprehensive assessment, care plan, and preferences of each patient, both facility‑sponsored group and individual activities and independent activities designed to meet the interests of and support the physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being of each patient, encouraging both independence and interaction in the community.
Plan, organize, and direct a program of activities which provides opportunity for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression and fulfills basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs which will be available to all residents of the facility.
