Job summary

Morningside Elite Management is hiring an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment to join our Towamencin facility in Lansdale, PA. You will support the Life Enrichment Director by designing and coordinating a variety of activities that engage residents across levels of ability.

You will assist with planning, coordinating, and evaluating programs, encouraging participation, and helping with trips, supplies, and budgeting. We offer growth opportunities and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Experience coordinating activities and working with seniors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Life Enrichment Director in planning, coordinating and evaluating resident activities.
• Encourage resident participation in programs and activities.
• Escort residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
• Assist with registration of residents for trips and programs.
• Conduct activities as directed by the Life Enrichment Director.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with outside purchasing as needed.
• Survey residents to determine interests and satisfaction; share feedback with staff.
• Follow department budget guidelines and participate in required trainings.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Summary:

Assists the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating and coordinating a wide variety of multi-level recreational and educational activities for the residents of the facility. Reports to the Life Enrichment Director.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Responsibilities:

• Assists in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities.
• Encourages resident participation in programs and activities.
• Activities Assistant escorts residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
• Assists with the registration of residents for trips and programs.
• Conducts various activities at the direction of the Life Enrichment Director.
• Maintains necessary activity supplies, which may include outside purchasing.
• Assists in the surveying and interviewing of residents to determine interests, talents and resident satisfaction.
• Maintains general observation of residents and shares appropriate information with staff.
• Follows departmental budget guidelines.
• Activities Assistant attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management.
• Activities Assistant performs other duties as assigned.

Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment Requirements:

An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
