Job summary

Castleton Health Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant / Life Enrichment Aide to create meaningful, engaging experiences for residents in our care setting. This role supports daily activity programs, leads group and 1:1 activities, and collaborates with nursing staff to meet resident needs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ year experience in long-term care, activities, or recreation, with a compassionate, energetic, and patient approach and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year experience in long-term care, activities, or recreation preferred.
• Experience working with seniors strongly preferred.
• Energetic, compassionate, and patient personality.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activity and recreation programs for residents.
• Lead and support group and 1:1 activities (arts & crafts, games, music, outings).
• Encourage participation and build relationships with residents.
• Help plan and post monthly activity calendars.
• Support community events and family engagement activities.
• Assist with Resident Council meetings and volunteer programs.
• Maintain activity supplies and track participation/documentation.
• Work closely with nursing staff to support resident needs.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with daily activity and recreation programs for residents

What We’re Looking For
