Job summary

Langdon Place of Exeter in Exeter, NH is seeking an Activities Assistant who will also serve as a Bus Driver for our 14-passenger minibus. You will plan activities and transport residents to community outings, ensuring safety and engagement.

The role requires a compassionate, energetic team player with a valid driver’s license and basic tablet documentation skills. Tue/Thu schedule with some weekend work, 32 hours/week, and competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in activities or recreation role preferred, especially in senior care.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable operating a minibus (CDL not required).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills to document on a tablet.
• Positive, compassionate, and creative mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Facilitate group programs, one-on-one visits, games, crafts, music, and social events.
• Encourage resident participation and engagement.
• Document attendance and resident feedback using a tablet.
• Collaborate with staff to align activities with residents' care plans.
• Safely operate a 14-passenger minibus to transport residents to outings and appointments.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs.
• Provide a friendly and comfortable experience during transportation.

Langdon Place of Exeter is proud to be under new local ownership and is currently seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Activities Assistant who will also serve as a Bus Driver for our 14-passenger mini bus (no CDL required).

This is a wonderful opportunity to enrich the lives of our residents through engaging daily activities and safe transportation to community outings.

Schedule

• Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30 A.M - 5:00 P.M
• Every other weekend is required
• 32 hours per week schedule is negotiable but Tue/Thur EOW is required.

Key Responsibilities
