Job summary

Dixon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in assessing, planning, and delivering engaging activities for residents. You will help organize programs tailored to individual interests, ensuring safety and enjoyment in daily recreation.

The role requires a passion for working with seniors, flexibility, and strong communication skills; prior LTC/SNF/AL/MC experience is preferred, along with possible activities certification.

Qualifications

• Desire to work with seniors and contribute to activities.
• Preferred experience in long-term care settings (LTC/SNF/AL/MC).
• Certification in activities is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• As an Activities Assistant, support the Activities Director in organizing and implementing activities and recreational services for residents.
• Assist in assessment, planning, and execution of individualized activity programs.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Assistant, you will provide assistance to the Activities Director in the assessment, selection, organization, and implementation of activities and recreational services to address the individual needs and interests of the residents.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Prior experience as an Activities Assistant in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
• Activities Certification preferred
• One year of experience conducting activities and recreational services within the past five years preferred
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
