Job summary

Heritage Hall in Clintwood, VA seeks an Activities Assistant to develop, implement and encourage resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director. This is a full-time role with night and weekend requirements, in a compassionate healthcare environment.

You’ll coordinate with staff to design engaging programs, communicate effectively with residents and families, and support residents’ social, emotional and physical well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in directing individual and group activities.
• Prior healthcare experience.
• A valid VA driver’s license.
• Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse types of people.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and encourage resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director.
• Work shifts include nights and weekends as needed.
• Collaborate with team to ensure activities meet residents' needs.
• Ensure activities promote engagement and well-being of residents.
