Job summary

Essex Meadows is seeking an Activities Assistant to support a variety of programs for residents in a welcoming senior living community. The role focuses on planning and facilitating activities that meet physical, emotional, and social needs, including games, groups, cultural events, and special activities.

The position requires a compassionate, organized individual with knowledge of geriatrics or recreation programs. Flexibility with hours including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a social or recreational program preferred.
• Experience in geriatrics, recreation or social administration preferred
• Must have the ability to solve practical problems and to deal with a variety of concrete variable situations and to use appropriate judgment to protect the safety and dignity of the resident

Job description

Position: Activities Assistant

Shift Available: 9 hours per week, including weekends

Pay: $18/hr. - $21.75/hr.

Essex Meadows is seeking a hospitality focused Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team.

SUMMARY

The Activity Assistant works in accordance with established policies and procedures, under the instruction from the Community Life Service Director. The Activity Assistant position is to help implement programs designed to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the community residents.
