Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living in Danbury, CT is seeking an Activities Assistant (Per Diem) to plan and lead daily programs for residents. The role is on-site with flexible, per diem shifts and a competitive salary.

You will collaborate with departments, tailor activities to residents' interests, and help create a welcoming community that supports wellness, social engagement, and quality of life for our seniors.

Qualifications

• Experience in activity planning with older adults preferred.
• Experience working in a Skilled Nursing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia and related issues.
• Experience and interest in working with older adults.
• Evidence in creativity.
• Highly organized.
• Mature, pleasant, friendly and cheerful personality.
• Driver license required with good driving record. May be required to take driving test.

Position Summary: The Lifestyle Assistant supports the Lifestyle Director with the coordination and implementation of engaging, meaningful, and therapeutic programs for residents. This role helps ensure activities are tailored to residents’ interests, abilities, and individual needs while promoting social engagement, wellness, independence, and overall quality of life. The Lifestyle Assistant plays an important role in creating a welcoming and vibrant community environment where residents feel connected, valued, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities
