• Assists director in planning and carrying out a program of activities that provide entertainment, inter-communication, exercise, relaxation, opportunities for creative expression, and fulfill basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs. These activities are available to all residents, subject to written restrictions and limitations.
• Encourages and facilitates craft activities among residents in groups or individually in recreation areas or residents’ rooms.
• Encourages residents to participate in religious activities to fulfill their spiritual needs.
• Visits non-ambulatory residents, writes letters for them, provides one-on-one visits, runs errands, and assists residents to church services within limitations. Reads to residents or provides suitable reading materials. Provides activities tailored to individual residents.
• Oversees and initiates volunteer groups involved in various activity programs.
