Job summary

John Scott House Nursing & Rehab Center in Braintree, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and implement engaging activities for older adults. You will develop individualized activity plans, lead group and one-on-one programs, and help maintain data logs ensuring resident well‑being.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, and hold a High School Diploma or GED. This is a full-time, on-site role at the 233 Middle St location.

Responsibilities

• Assists in planning and implementation of organized groups and one on one programs.
• Develop a written plan of care for each resident's activity program with goals.
• Complete daily data logbooks and quarterly reports for residents.
• Lead residents in scheduled activity programs to promote well-being.
• Transport residents to and from activity locations.
• Assist with meal pass and snacks as requested.
• Maintain good working relationships with resident families and other departments.
• Maintain composure in emergency situations and ensure confidentiality.

Activities Assistant Responsibilities:

• Complete daily data logbooks and quarterly reports on individual residents as assigned
• Lead/oversee residents engaged in scheduled activity programs to promote physical, social, and mental well-being of residents
• Transport residents to and from activity locations
• Assist with meal pass and snacks as requested
• Develop and maintain a good working report with resident, family members, and other departments
• Must be able to maintain composure in emergency situations
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and assure confidentiality of all residents
